*explaining 1. "Which coordinates correspond to a point that will fit on the line (equation) given?" 2. "Which coordinates correspond to a point that will fit on the line (equation) y=x-4?"

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

@Directrix @MrNood

OpenStudy (mrnood):

for the first - just look at the red dots on th e line. which one corresponds to one of the answers?

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

Wrong item, I know this... -1, 1

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

sorry Hold on

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

is it different?

OpenStudy (mrnood):

for the second look at the point pairs the first number is x & the second is y so find which pair you get the y value by subtracting 4 from x y = x-4

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

Yes I have that @MrNood I even given why.

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

It was the wrong attachment sorry

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

OpenStudy (mrnood):

OK in the straight line equation y=mx+b the value of b tells you where the line cuts the vertical axis so in your equation what is that value?

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

still confused.

OpenStudy (misssmartiez):

Yep, got it wrong. Thanks.
