HELP ASAP!! DUE TOMORROW!! FAN AND MEDAL!! 3. Cooking pots are made of metal but often the handle of a cooking pot is made of a type of plastic or rubber. Explain why this design makes sense. 5. What is the advantage of designing a thermos so that it has a vacuum layer surrounding the area where hot liquids are stored?

3. Metal is a conductor, while plastic and rubber are not. Seeing as thought people do not want to be burned they choose to wrap the handles in insulators to keep the heat off of the handle. 5. The vacuum layer will keep the heat within and contained.

Plastic is no conductor so it prevents ur hand from burning while touching the handle but the pot itself should conduct heat so u can cook
