The only way your medals could have disappeared is if the people who gave them to you took them away.

If someone took the medals they gave you away, it's up to them to give the medals back.

Questions answered is not the same as the amount of medals you receive. You might not have gotten medals on all the questions you answered.

You're not alone. This usually happens when you help somebody or if they like you, they go to your profile page and medal your replies till they get tired/bored. I don't see any harm in this... This happened to me many times from different users...

Moderators cannot take away medals given by others. You will need to contact an admin if you seriously want to fix your issue...
