would you call that a long time ago or recent?
i call 1600 a long time ago,but i don't know if 1807 goes in the category recent.

yes that's correct 1807 would be recent the first car was called the Stanley steamer seriously and 1600 yes was a long time ago

Karl Benz 1886 invention is usually called the first car. Cars were not really available to be purchased until the 1900s.
In the United States we usually think of a couple hundred years as a long time ago.
In Europe, they walk past buildings that are 5 or 6 hundred years old daily, they may think of it a little differently.
