What is the solution set of 2x 2 - 3x = 5? {-1, -5/2} {-1, 5/2} {1, -5/2}

@Zelda
In mathematics, a solution set is the set of values that satisfy a given set of equations or inequalities. so the sets are (x, y) which means you can input the x values and see which ones work
To me it looks like 2x^2−3x−5=5−5 2x^2−3x−5=0 Step 2: Factor left side of equation. (2x−5)(x+1)=0 Step 3: Set factors equal to 0. 2x−5=0 or x+1=0 x=5/2 or x=−1
what answers do you know are wrong
2x^2-3x-5=0 2x^2 +2x -5x -5 =0 [ split the middle term] 2x*x +2x*1 -5x -5*1=0 2x(x+1) -5(x+1) =0 (x+1) (2x_1) =0 solve it
So @AloneS it would be the last one
@james3421 yes it would be @AloneS is right
thank yall
