In Romeo and Juliet, what reaction did Lord Capulet have to Romeo’s being present at his party? A)He was not too upset because Romeo had a reputation of being a good person. B)He was angry at Tybalt for not recognizing who Romeo was before allowing him to enter. C)Lord Capulet never found out that Romeo was at his party as Tybalt felt it was best not to tell him. D)He conflicted over whether or not to send Tybalt to fight with Romeo.
@islandchick60
I believe that it is the third one.
Tybalt told him about the presents.
Which led him to conflict about what to do about this; since people are present so he remarks: "Lord Capulet told Tybalt to not worry about Romeo because he is a gentleman"
When Tybalt says that he will not stand to have Romeo there Capulet becomes angry and eventually tells Tybalt to stop talking about it. Tybalt vows vengeance on Romeo's transgression.
Is it D???
So it would be?...
Haha thx for the save @MissSmartiez i dont remember that
D or B
lol. Actually; I'd say A. " he tells Tybalt to leave Romeo alone because Romeo is loved by the entire city and he is causing no harm. Okay.
However, not sure
Select the word that best describes how Tybalt reacted when he recognized Romeo at the party in Romeo and Juliet. combative downhearted cautious appalled
cautious then right??
Didn't he want to fight him?
I think so
combative
He seemed angry than cautious "He gets angry, very angry! He knows that Romeo is a Montague and assumes that the only reason why a Montague would show up would be to "fleer and scorn" at the Capulets. One thing: Tybalt has a short temper/easily angered, which might have been the reason for his hate, even though Romeo refused to fight Tybalt." - answers in act 1 scene 5, it shows this
so, he was?...
Its either a or b ?
A. he was eager to fight.
