Will Medal. Can someone further explain imagery, connotation, and denotation please? I looked it up on Google, but I still don't understand. Thanks!
imagery is what i like to call, "picture writing". it paints a picture in you head about whats going on in the paper.
and i forgt what connotation and denotation mean :/
Well said ^
*forgot and thanks
You're welcome.
I had an idea of imagery, but no idea on connotation and denotation. -_-
hmmm one sec
English isn't exactly my cup of tea...
lol Steven.
Idk, sorry.
ohhhh so connotation is like this: lets say we're talking negatively about someone (btw dont do that its mean) and someone says, "to me, theyre like HITLER!" when they said "to me theyre like hitler" that was connotation. so using words to take the meaning and/or exaggerate
Denotation is the word of choice and it's real dictionary definition.
So like relating it to someone else? Showing about how he's acting?
A word with positive connotation can be summer or icecream. Think of a racist word, it has negative connotation, you wouldn't use that word because of that.
exactly, Lauren! and yup, pretty much, @AlexaTiger to be more specific, it means the legit dictionary definition instead of the broad picture
Ohhhhh I get it
Oh! Ok! Thanks guys! I'd medal you all, but I think I'm going with Tay. :)
LOL tyvm! @AlexaTiger i medalled u ^-^
