Because one of the variables is 0.072x, the smallest power of 10 you can multiply it by is 1000, assuming that you want a whole number.

If it was 0.00072x, you would multiply by 10,000

@Aveline Where it changes the 2000 into 120,000, how did they do that? And why did they switch the x over to 60? Thank you ^_^

Ok, so the equation is 72x=60(x+2000)
You are going to use the distributive property
60(x+2000) can be simplified into 60x+(60*2000)
Further simplify that into 60x+120,000 = 72x
You may want to further read up on the distributive property: a(b+c)=ab+ac
