WILL MEDAL AND FAN!!! Which scale factors produce a contraction under a dilation of the original image? Choose TWO Answers. A. -1.8 B. -0.8 C. 1.8 D. 0.8

OpenStudy (seratul):

I can tell you that it is C and most likely B. When you are dilating by a positive whole number above 1, the shape would get smaller. Therefore, D is one answer. Now usually when there is a negative, it would kind of flip the reasoning for positives. So any negative above one should get bigger, and less than one should get smaller. B should also be the second answer. Hopefully this helps. (Again, I am not sure about the second choice).

So D and B?

OpenStudy (seratul):

I'm sorry, I meant to say C and B, not D. I also looked up about the negative dilation and I was correct.
