@FaiqRaees can you help please?
OpenStudy (faiqraees):
1. Because at the point where they both intersect their values of x and y are same. Since their values of y are same they can be equated against each other and the x values that will emerge are their solutions. Get it or more explanation?

@FaiqRaees
OpenStudy (faiqraees):
So do you get it?

not really
OpenStudy (faiqraees):
okay at the intersection point x and y values are same right?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yes
OpenStudy (faiqraees):
which means at that point, both equations are equal to each other
OpenStudy (faiqraees):
right?

okay
OpenStudy (faiqraees):
so at those point the value of x will give us the solution to the equations right?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yes
OpenStudy (faiqraees):
so there you go that's your answer.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so...
if they y values are the same then you can equate these 2 equations
y = 8x and y = 2x + 2
8x=2x+2v
