OpenStudy (yinshy):

What is the length of a side of a cube with a volume of 512 cm3?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

hmm how do you get the volume of a cube anyway? is it 1/2 length * height?

OpenStudy (scarlettfarra2000):

the volume of a cube is x^3. So to get x, you have to do 3sqrt512

OpenStudy (yinshy):

i have to put the awnser no choices

OpenStudy (yinshy):

so divide 512 b 3?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well, how do you find the volume of a cube of any size? is it 1/2 base * height?

OpenStudy (yinshy):

i dont get it use a drawing to help explain

OpenStudy (yinshy):

@elise_seighyeh

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well, do you know what a "cube" is anyway?

OpenStudy (elise_seighyeh):

Volume of cube = (Side length)^3 512cm3 = Side^3 side = cube root of 512 since 512cm3 = 8cm X 8cm X 8cm , cube root of 512 is 8

OpenStudy (yinshy):

yes

OpenStudy (yinshy):

ty

OpenStudy (elise_seighyeh):

anytime

OpenStudy (yinshy):

can you medal me to i have lots of questions
