OpenStudy (samigupta8):

The spool is placed on rough horizontal surface and has inner radii r and outer radii R.The angle theta between the applied force and the horizontal can be varied.The critical angle theta for which the spool does not roll and remain stationary is given by

@Michele_laino

OpenStudy (irishboy123):

soz sami struggling to guess what this might look like

OpenStudy (samigupta8):

Actually the force is exerted on the inner circle of radii r( given in itz diagram).. And i don't think that it's actually a circle bt in the diagram it's like that.. So sorry if it is wrong..

OpenStudy (samigupta8):

@vincent-lyon.fr

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

at which point the external force is applied?

OpenStudy (samigupta8):

At a point on the inner disc making an angle theta with horizontal..

OpenStudy (samigupta8):

Sir it"zz a spool..!

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

like this: |dw:1458418761972:dw|

OpenStudy (samigupta8):

Yeah...actually on the right handside point of that inner disc

OpenStudy (samigupta8):

But i think it will also do the same work..

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

ok! like this one: |dw:1458418920091:dw|

OpenStudy (samigupta8):

Force in i+j on the right hand side.. Lol
