@Plasmataco
... ok thx...
No one was helping and I didn't know how to do this so link can better help you than me
what is pH?
a numeric scale used to specify the acidity or basicity (alkalinity) of an aqueous solution
the pH is basically a measure of the acidity and alkalinity of a solution. pH values below 7 means that the solution is acid and above 7 that its alkaline. The lower the pH the more acid so lemon juice pH 2.3 is more acid than beer pH 4.1.
ok.... so like the richter scale, does it get more acidic exponentially?
pH is defines as - log {h] where h is the molar concentration of hydrogen ions in the aquesous solution.
In english plz XD
Its a logarithmic scale.
ok...
whats h.
h is the concentration in moles per liter of hydrogen ions H+
so like 2.3 and 4.1?
pH of 7 means the solution is neutral. The concentration of H+ = concentration of OH-
...........
2.3 is the pH which is - log of concentration of H+ ph 2.3 is equivalent to concentration 10^(-2.3) of H+ ions.
you mean order of mag diff between the two?
ok. yeah
Its more convenient to use simple numbers that numbers like 10^-2.3
The lemon juice's order of magnitude is 1.8 more acidic than beer
yeah
THX SOOO MUCH WELSHFELLA!!!
