Hello @destinib0123 and Welcome to OpenStudy! :) For your question, since the sign between your two sets of parenthesis is an addition sign, we can ignore the parenthesis and have \(x^6 + x + 9 + 7x^6 + 5\)
From there we can "add like terms" which is when we only add the numbers that have the same variable powers so like \(x^6 + 7x^6 = 8x^6 \) do you understand that so far? :)
I noticed that you have gone offline @destinib0123 Adding the like terms should get you to your answer ^_^ If you still need help, feel free to tag me with @sleepyhead314
