OpenStudy (mrnebula):

A worker uses a cart to move a load of bricks a distance of 10 m across a parking lot. If he pushes the cart with a constant force of 209 N, what amount of work does he do? Can you show me step-by-step how I can solve this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

work=force*distance

OpenStudy (mrnebula):

So 209*10?

OpenStudy (mrnebula):

is it ok if 10 is in meters? or do I have to do the math to put in like inches or feet? @surjithayer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think Newton metres

OpenStudy (mrnebula):

Whats that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is unit of work

OpenStudy (mrnebula):

So no math needed?

OpenStudy (mrnebula):

Just 209*10=2090

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think no need but you can take the opinion of someone else because i studied it long long ego.

OpenStudy (mrnebula):

K thanks anyways
