Which is required for sexual reproduction ? A. mitosis B. Binary fission C. Diploid cell reproduction D. Meiosis

OpenStudy (kikuo):

Mitosis is a type of cell division which results in two identical sister cells that aren't reduced to haploid cells. Meiosis is a type of cell division which results in four non-identical sister gamete cells with one complete set of chromosomes that are reduced down to haploid cells. Binary fission is a a type of asexual cell division in which the offspring is identical to its parent cell that takes place in prokaryotic cells. Diploid cell reproduction is implying a diploid cell reproduces. By biological definition, sexual reproduction is the process of two haploid cells uniting to form a diploid cell which will then differentiate into a human being. Can you guess which one it is based off of what I told you? Meiosis is a process that produces 4 gamete cells all with different alleles or genetic material. Sexual reproduction is a type of reproduction that combines 2 haploid sex cells to create a diploid cell.
