@confluxepic

OpenStudy (retireed):

What is the equation for the volume of a cone?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1/3*pi*r^2*h but i dont know how to put it in terms of pi

OpenStudy (retireed):

That is the correct equation.... Just leave pi in the answer V = 1/3 r^2 h pi = ______ pi m^3

OpenStudy (retireed):

Just don't multiple using pi into the final answer.

OpenStudy (retireed):

For example... The area of a circle in term of pi r = 10 m A = pi r^2 A = 100 pi m^2

OpenStudy (retireed):

That is all there is to it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so, 1/3*5^2*8 200/3m^3

OpenStudy (retireed):

Close, you forgot to put the pi in the answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

200pi/3m^3

OpenStudy (retireed):

That will work for me. (200pi/3) m^3 just so they don't think the m^3 is in the denominator.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thank
