Who knows inequalities

OpenStudy (freckles):

what do you want to do with inequalities?

OpenStudy (matlee):

Hello freckles!

OpenStudy (matlee):

This one is so hard and i need to pass 3 questions

OpenStudy (freckles):

So in x weeks, the first hen laid 7x eggs And in y weeks, the second hen laid 8y eggs we are given that that the total number of eggs laid by the first hen was at least the total number of eggs laid by the second hen at least means equal to or greater

OpenStudy (matlee):

oh

OpenStudy (matlee):

7x is equal to 8y?

OpenStudy (freckles):

well don't forget or greater part

OpenStudy (matlee):

7x<8y -

OpenStudy (matlee):

?

OpenStudy (freckles):

< means less than

OpenStudy (freckles):

> means greater than

OpenStudy (matlee):

oh ok then ty

OpenStudy (matlee):

Oh yes it was right

OpenStudy (matlee):

Can i do one and you tell me if its right?

OpenStudy (freckles):

7x can be at least 8y means 7x can be 8y or greater than 8y 7x=>8y \[7x \ge 8y\] i hope this makes sense to you

OpenStudy (freckles):

and yes

OpenStudy (matlee):

Ohh i see thank you

OpenStudy (matlee):

OpenStudy (matlee):

15c+70b is less than or equal to 7000?

OpenStudy (matlee):

or does at most mean can carry more than that

OpenStudy (freckles):

you are right!!!! :) at most means less than or equal to good job there and you considered the weight of each item since we were talking about total weight :)

OpenStudy (matlee):

Thank you

OpenStudy (matlee):

Thanks for your help lol i now know inequalities

OpenStudy (freckles):

like if I say you can have at most 5 pizzas that means you can have 0,1,2,3,4,5 where 5 is the max you can have

OpenStudy (matlee):

Ok lol thank you

OpenStudy (matlee):

I suck at inequalities and graphs but now only graphs :p

OpenStudy (freckles):

if i say you can have at least 5 pizzas you can have 5,6,7,8,9,.... list continues because there are an infinite amount of pizza slices out there :p

OpenStudy (matlee):

It was wrong!

OpenStudy (freckles):

oh sorry it said ounces

OpenStudy (freckles):

\[15c+70b \le 11200\]

OpenStudy (matlee):

Oh nvm that was my fault i put = sign

OpenStudy (freckles):

well the other things are in ounces

OpenStudy (freckles):

so the other weight thing should be an ounce unit

OpenStudy (matlee):

dang lol i gotta do 3 more now but thank you i think im good now

OpenStudy (matlee):

yeah

OpenStudy (freckles):

fun more practice

OpenStudy (freckles):

but it seems like you are going to fly through them now
