Brutus was demanded the people to listen hear him. He tried to win the people over and support through logical explanations. He listed down the reasons for killing Caesar and was very concise in his speech as he believed the truth will convince the people and rally to his cause. The problem was the people didn’t connect with his arguments and he was too aloof in his approach that he failed to gain their support and he should make a speech wherein he had a personal connection with the crowd. Anthony on the other hand asked the people to hear him. His agreement of the senate’s actions was for the subtle purpose of discrediting all that they said. Listing down the achievements of Caesar, he was all manipulating the crowd by appealing to their emotion. As he made his speech, he was crying and this moved the crowd enabling him to win them over. Anthony was the better orator because of his use of emotion and facts.

OpenStudy (yaya090600):

can you put it in your own words? @naate

OpenStudy (naate):

This is in my own words, sorry it took sooo long :O Well Brutus more or less made the people listen to him. He was trying to win them over through logical explanation (obviously it wasn't effective) He listed the reasons for taking Cesars' life, and he was very straighforward in his speech, because he believed that the truth would convince the people and they were going to rally. The problem was the people didnt connect with his arguments, he wasn't to friendly in his approach and failed to gain their support. He should've made a speech where he had a personal connection with the crowd. Anthony on the other hand, was very down to earth. Even asking people to hear him. He listed the achievments to Ceasar, by that he was manipulating the crowd by feeling what they were feeling. As he was making his speech, he began to cry, which inturn, moved the crowd, which eventually won them over. So we can see here anthony was the better orator because his use of emotion and facts!

@yaya090600 hope its what ya were lookin for
