question #3

OpenStudy (freemap):

@FaiqRaees can you help me?

OpenStudy (faiqraees):

Let me read the question its so long

OpenStudy (freemap):

okay,

OpenStudy (freemap):

nevermind I think I can do it, thanks for your time

Directrix (directrix):

@freemap What are your thoughts on part 2a ?

OpenStudy (freemap):

@Directrix Sherelle is skewed left

OpenStudy (freemap):

I really need #3 I tried but I'm not sure

OpenStudy (freemap):

2a I said sherelle is skewed left

OpenStudy (freemap):

On question 3 would it have anything to do with the mode? The more you have a number you're more likely to receive it

Directrix (directrix):

1/4 of Sherelle's coins are dated 1960 or below. She has the oldest coin which is dated 1925. Her sack seems to contain more of the older coins than does that of Venita.

OpenStudy (freemap):

I'm not trying to sound...... but how did you find out when they were dated

OpenStudy (freemap):

oh coins as the number of years, I didn't read the top I get it

Directrix (directrix):

It is given in the first document you posted.

OpenStudy (freemap):

Okay I get what you said for a and that makes since, but for b they ask what reason does Venita and she doesn't have a reason because her numbers are at least 28 years off

Directrix (directrix):

Venita might say that she has the 1916 coin because her 50 coin dates show more variation than that of Sherelle. The "box" portion of Venita's box plot (where 50% of the data are) is longer than that of Sherelle. The sack from which Venita's coins came may hold a greater range of coin dates.

OpenStudy (freemap):

I want to understand, but I don't get if there greater dates how would she have it. I'm going to read you post agin

Directrix (directrix):

It is the variation that I'm seeing.

OpenStudy (freemap):

your seeing like the change in difference?

Directrix (directrix):

There is no one set answer to these questions. A person just has to look at the box plots and come up with an opinion.

OpenStudy (freemap):

Oh I know I just didn't understand but if I think your talking about what I think I get it

Directrix (directrix):

I think Sherelle likely has the 1916 coin. 25% of her data lies in the lower whisker between 1960 and 1925. 25% of Venita's date lies in the lower whisker between 1953 and 1943. Sherelle has the greater variation of coin dates in the neighborhood of the coin 1916.

OpenStudy (freemap):

Thank you so much for all the explanations.
