Question

So is anybody online that's a strong JAVA coder? I'm having trouble with a fairly simple code and got two of the four pieces to compile but definitely struggling with my main class and my tester

Code Instructions and the Geometry code it calls on. Can also include my Ellipse & Triangle code, struggling with my Report Class and the rewriting of the Geometry class

did they give you something to use to read user inputs? :)

for example...

System.out.println("What is the base of your triangle?");
double base = IO.readUserInput();

System.out.prinln("What is the height of your triangle?");
double height = IO.readUserInput();

etc... instead of having the numbers you started with, they want you to be able to change the numbers based on what the person tells the program :)

does this make sense?

I have a question. Why Java? I never got around to learning Java. I learned C++, Ruby, LUA, and Python.

Same here, I know basic coding C++ and others, but in order to go into a Comp Sci degree I had to do a java class

lol . My prof just doesn't know how to clearly define what he wants us to do and while teaching us its always a mess house of deciphering what hes teaching and what actually accurate. I'm just gonna goto my father's company and work with someone who writes in java everyday so I can understand this.
