This has to do with proportional relationships. Do you know what a proportional relationship is Maxd121?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
i guess
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Well I'll review it for you. When value x changes, y changes accordingly. So, if 1 package of dog food feeds 5 dogs, 2 packages of dog food feeds 10 dogs. Does this make sense?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
ya

Okay, great! We do the same thing for this problem. Let's state games to scores as a ratio. For every 3 goals they make, they play 2 games. We can make that 3:2. We need to find what ? means in ?:9. So we multiply. 2 x 4.5 = 9. So 3 x 4.5 must equal... 13.5. So how many goals are expected in 9 games Maxd121?

4.5?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Close. It's 3 x 4.5. I'll give you a second shot ;)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
13.5

u said it
