""State if the triangles in each pair are similar. If so, state how you know they are similar and complete the similarity statement."

OpenStudy (seratul):

Okay, so tell me what sides are similar to the other ones.

OpenStudy (shaleiah):

I don't think the triangles are similar : 40/88=5/11 32/66=16/33 110/23=110/23

OpenStudy (ibrafacts):

OpenStudy (ibrafacts):

set a proportion now

OpenStudy (seratul):

^

OpenStudy (ibrafacts):

to see if its similar

OpenStudy (seratul):

@shaleiah I don't think the method you used for that is correct. Your best bet is to make a proportion like ibrafacts said.

OpenStudy (ibrafacts):

yes cross multiply now if they equal its similar

OpenStudy (seratul):

The order you placed your number is incorrect including which numbers you used. The smaller number should be the numerator and 23 doesn't match with 88.

OpenStudy (ibrafacts):

^yes my bad he/she is correct the numbers you used r incorrect

OpenStudy (seratul):

He :P

OpenStudy (ibrafacts):

i will help u set up one side okay?

OpenStudy (shaleiah):

alright
