A ball is thrown upward and outward from a height of 6 feet. The height of the ball, f(x), can be modeled by f(x)=0.1x^2+0.7x+6 Find max height and occurring at how many feet from the point of release How far does the ball travel horizontally before hitting the ground?

Paraphrase this question: Find the coordinates of the vertex of f(x)=0.1x^2+0.7x+6. The first coordinate will represent time and the second will represent distance above the ground.
Note that this problem says nothing at all about how fast the ball travels horizontally. Unless there was more info with this problem that you could share here, not sure how to help you with the horiz. displacement of the ball.
