Check my answer? simplify (6.1)*(3.7)+(8.5)*(4.0) 34.57 I'm not really sure what I'm doing
@ILovePuppiesLol
just multiply 6.1 and 3.7 on ur calculator and then multiply 8.5 and 4 on ur calculator and then Add them together!!!
Thanks
These types of problems will be much easier if your remember the acronym for the order of operations: PEMDAS. 1. Parentheses (simplify inside of parentheses first) 2. Exponents (and radicals, i.e. square roots, etc.) 3. Multiply 4. Divide 5. Add 6. Subtract So in this situation you would multiply the 6.1 by 3.7, and multiply the 8.5 by 4.0, since Multiplication comes before addition in the order of operations. Finally, you would add the two results together to get your final answer. Hope all of that made sense.
