Were the changes that resulted from the women's movement mostly positive or mostly negative? What changes still need to take place to establish equality for women?

OpenStudy (victor_2215):

that one is hard

OpenStudy (victor_2215):

do you think changes still need to take place to establish equality for women?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes and no actuaclly and the changes resulted in both negative and positive results. @victor_2215

OpenStudy (dako87):

but mostly positive

OpenStudy (naate):

put this in ur own words if u can

OpenStudy (naate):

.in pay, in access, in promotion, athletic scholarships and funding in educational institutions for women's sports programs, funding for research in women's health. Even such as heart disease. . .research into factors, diagnosis, treatment had only used males as research subjects. . .There was access to birth control, abortion. Laws regarding sexual harassment Women began to step forward and file charges of rape and spousal abuse. . . as "she asked for it". . .or blaming the victim. . . ceased to work as a defense

OpenStudy (naate):

i couldnt really find any negatives, so im gonna say mostly positive

OpenStudy (naate):

@PrincessWithBlueHairAndBlueEyes

OpenStudy (victor_2215):

yeah it was mostly positive

OpenStudy (naate):

i think something else that could change to have equality for women is pay rate, like look at the NBA players, theyre gettin payed 36 mil a year, while women in the WNBA are only getting 1 mil at the most a year, so pay rate, could be better, and also not being "racist we shouldnt deny women jobs, just cuz theyre women, they can still do hard work

OpenStudy (razork):

Positive

OpenStudy (naate):

yessir! :O

OpenStudy (stamp):

You can't expect a WNBA player to ever make as much as an NBA player. |dw:1458763302738:dw| The NBA pie is bigger, so an NBA and a WNBA player can each be getting 1/10 of the pie, but the NBA pie is way bigger. So why would a WNBA player ever be getting paid $36 million like an NBA player?

OpenStudy (stamp):

Poor example of pay inequality imo

OpenStudy (gnech):

Good answers! I totally agree with you @naate
