i need help with C and E on this problem
For C, there is only one box that fits the criteria of being a male and over the age of 35, in that box is the probability of 0.04, all you have to do is convert that to a percentage :D
so 4%
yup
I'm not sure what they mean by "independent events" for question E
hmm, lets see if @texaschic101 or @AloneS can help us with it
I think you can say it was independent because there was a significant difference between Male and Female after the age of 35+
sorry...not good with probabilities
Okay so which once yo need to get done?
C and E
Oh okay dof C you mean question?
yes
i was tld that for C it was 4% but i got 13%
Just add up all the males, and the female over 35 P(x = m or 35+) = .56
56% is what you think, i think i will go with you
okay and on e ..i dont' realy think there independent events because they depend on each other. What it means is that one event affects the probability of the other event happening. If you are female, you have 9% probability of being +35, whereas if you weren't female, you'd only have a 4% chance of being +35
sorry i have a laga need to sign out
ok i understand that
