OpenStudy (leahhhmorgannn):

The coordinates A (0, 0), B (0, 4), C (4, 4), and D (4, 0) are graphed and connected together. What three-dimensional shape will be created when this shape is rotated about the y-axis? Provide an explanation for your answer to receive full credit. I've figured out that the shape would be a square, but I'm not sure what 3-D figure that would form.

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

@saruz please do not give direct answers let the person with the question understand

OpenStudy (leahhhmorgannn):

@rebeccaxhawaii and what proof do I explain for that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@rebeccaxhawaii okay...

OpenStudy (leahhhmorgannn):

I started out with graphing it at the very link you gave me because that's what I use, but I'm not sure how to explain the answer.

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

@saruz its just because giving the answer isnt helping them none if they have trouble later they wont understand how to do it themselves .. but you are very smart so i know you can give a great explanation ^.^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@rebeccaxhawaii i never thought like that.. thank you for opening my eyes
