OpenStudy (ffasinger):

If A = (0, 0) and B = (8, 2), what is the length of line AB ? A. 9.41 units B. 3.16 units C. 8.25 units D. 7.75 units

OpenStudy (fortytherapper):

Are you familiar with Pythagoras Theorem?

OpenStudy (ffasinger):

yes but this is not the pythagoren therom this is distance formula

OpenStudy (fortytherapper):

Oh, Pythagoras cam be used too. I personally find it easier since point A is at the origin. We can also do distance formula if you like

OpenStudy (ffasinger):

ok lol

OpenStudy (fortytherapper):

Pythagoras: Since A is at the origin, we just need point B. Point B makes 2 sides: 8 and 2 8^2 + 2^2 = ? After that we can take the root of that to find the answer. Lemme know what you get

OpenStudy (ffasinger):

68

OpenStudy (fortytherapper):

Right, so now we do sqrt(68) to find C

OpenStudy (fortytherapper):

Aka the length

OpenStudy (ebayminer126):

Don't worry @rebeccaxhawaii fortytherapper wont give direct answers so you can just move on to try to find people to report.

OpenStudy (fortytherapper):

Ah, Rebecca. Always tryna find a way to beef with me. How loving =]

OpenStudy (ffasinger):

Sorry@FortyTheRapper I fell asleep!!

OpenStudy (fortytherapper):

It's all good @FFASinger You figure the problem out?

OpenStudy (ffasinger):

Yes , I did thank @FortyTheRapper!!!
