Data are collected about the amount of time, in minutes, each member of a dance troupe spend practicing. How does a single outlier change the median of the collected data?
A single outlier doubles the value of the median.
A single outlier does not affect the median.
A single outlier causes the value of the median to move slightly toward the outlier.
A single outlier causes the value of the median to move slightly away from the outlier

ILovePuppiesLol (ilovepuppieslol):
an outlier is a number that is a lot smaller or a lot bigger
ILovePuppiesLol (ilovepuppieslol):
so lets say we have a number set, 1,2,3,5,8,10, 500
ILovePuppiesLol (ilovepuppieslol):
so 500 is the outlier, without the 500, the median would be 4, and with the outlier, now the median is 5
