OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is the domain and range of the function: (-1,4),(0,2)(2,4)(-4,8),6,-5)

OpenStudy (welshfella):

the domain is the set of the x values ( these are the first numbers in each parentheses) and the range is the set of y values. If there are multiple numbers only one of them is included in the domain / range.

OpenStudy (welshfella):

so the domain is {-1 , 0, 2 , -4 , 6} now can you tell me what the range is?

OpenStudy (welshfella):

get it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the domain is all the first numbers and the range is all the 2nd

OpenStudy (sherribelle):

You only have to write the numbers down once for the domain section and for the range section. So if you ever have reoccurring numbers in one of the sections you only need to write it once. For future reference.
