A i think

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Here you see a large triangle and a smaller one. The triangles are similar; that is, their corresponding angles are the same, even if their side lengths are not. Using this fact (the similarity), please write an equation of ratios involving x. What is the ratio x (left side of the smaller triangle) to x+(x+5) (left side of the larger triangle)? Please write out that ratio now.

Is the answer x=5? @mathmale

OpenStudy (mathmale):

I haven't done the problem myself. Next time, show your work, so I can readily check it. Just check your work by subst. x=5 into all of your eq'ns involving x. Are the resulting eq'ns true or false?
