OpenStudy (fabgirl1994):

Choose the correct simplification of the expression (−5a5b4c3)0. 1 0 5a5b4c3 −5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1 any number to the power of 0 equals 1

OpenStudy (fabgirl1994):

Choose the correct simplification of the expression 8 times b all over a to the power of negative 5 a to the 5th power times b all over 8 8 over a to the 5th power times b 8a5b Already simplified

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the 0 here means it is multiplied or it is a power ?

OpenStudy (fabgirl1994):

Thanks! Can you help with that?

OpenStudy (fabgirl1994):

Which question are you talking about

OpenStudy (mathmale):

fabgirl1994: it'd really be fab if you'd take just a little more time and write your expressions correctly. In your first post, the exponent is 0; you need to show that exponent as a superscript.

OpenStudy (fabgirl1994):

I only copied and pasted the questions. I'm not typing them out.

OpenStudy (mathmale):

|dw:1458959489234:dw|

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Unfortunately, that gets a lot of OS users in trouble. Copying and pasting does not preserve the fact that 0 is an exponent. See my example.

OpenStudy (mathmale):

Also, fab: If expressions or equations are given in mathematical symbols, please present them here as such. If you type them out (expressing them in words), then potential helpers will have to translate them back into math symbols. Hope you get my drift.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's 8a^5b since by writing the formula given is 8b/a^-5 so we when switching a to the nominatir it will be a^5

OpenStudy (fabgirl1994):

Thanks so much. Can you look at my recent question?
