Well,i would suggest you do the following-
1)Reading as much as possible(as mentioned above^^)
2)Referring to the dictionary
3)Understanding the construct of sentences and the usage of words.
4)And ofc,using those words as much as possible
Another useful technique is solving exercises/worksheets which are available online also...
