Predict how the Transcontinental Railroad will make a difference in the Civil War.

I want to see your opinions so I can get an understanding because I really do not know how it would make a difference... Maybe it would make it easier for the states to travel? please help, thanks

This made it easier to transport goods around the country, guns, airplanes, and people will try to get on the side of people with the best equipment..

A much cheaper and efficient way to transfer goods across the country. Yeah, it was completed may 10th 1869 after the civil war, unless the question is asking what effect would it have had.
