Valerie used to spend 10 h/wk watching TV. Now she spends 1/4 less time per week watching TV. Which expressions represent how many hours per week Valerie spends watching TV now? Choose all answers that are correct. A. 10-(1/4*10) B. 10+(1/4*10) C. 3/4*10 D. 1/4*10

OpenStudy (mrcoolguy):

A and C

OpenStudy (janu16):

A. is 10 - (1/4 * 10) or we could write that as 10(1 - 1/4) or we could then say 10* 3/4 or 3/4 * 10 That is the same as C. A. and C. are the same value. Furthermore choice B is saying she is watching more TV than she was. That has gotta be wrong. so appears there are two correct answers.
