Which equation is the best linear model for the data found in the scatter plot? http://assets.openstudy.com/updates/attachments/56f7519ee4b07a8c82290e0b-clamin-1459050183478-screenshot3.png

OpenStudy (mathmale):

I advised you on this or a similar problem a very short time ago. What did you learn from that discussion? You have a choice: Do as I suggested: hold a ruler up to your computer screen, as close to halfway between the row of dots as you can get it, and then read off the y-intercept and figure out the slope of the straight line thru the points. Write your equation as y = m x + b, where m is the slope and b the y-intercept. Compare your equation to the four answer choices. Which one is closest to your own result? OR..... plot each of the four answer choices and determine that way which one is closest to the line you drew through the set of points in a row.

OpenStudy (clamin):

i got A @mathmale

OpenStudy (mathmale):

I'd definitely agree that either A or B is correct. Mind trying once more, as a double-check? I need to get off OpenStudy now, but it appears you're on the right track!

OpenStudy (clamin):

me too A and B is the same but i was more in A
