Medal and Fan please help

OpenStudy (sawq):

Using the graph above, create a system of inequalities that only contain points C and F in the overlapping shaded regions. Explain how the lines will be graphed and shaded on the coordinate grid above.

OpenStudy (sawq):

help pls

rebeccaxhawaii (rebeccaxhawaii):

still there?

OpenStudy (sawq):

Yup

OpenStudy (sawq):

@rebeccaxhawaii

OpenStudy (fortytherapper):

Hmm, I guess I'll ask if you know what the inequality signs are?

OpenStudy (fortytherapper):

And each quadrant on a graph

OpenStudy (sawq):

the inequalities yes but not sure about quadrant

OpenStudy (fortytherapper):

There are 4 quadrants on a graph. They are basically the squares created by the X and Y axis. Quadrant 1 starts at the upper right square, then you go counterclockwise for 2,3, and 4. Each quadrant have either a negative or positive X axis and either a negative or positive Y axis, it just depends on the quadrant we are looking at

OpenStudy (sawq):

Ok I knew that I just didn't realize they were called quadrants thanks

OpenStudy (fortytherapper):

Coolio So, what quadrant is C and F in?

OpenStudy (sawq):

1

OpenStudy (sawq):

?

OpenStudy (fortytherapper):

Right, and are the X and Y values positive or negative? Which inequality could we used to show that

OpenStudy (sawq):

positive. greater than?

OpenStudy (fortytherapper):

Right, so the system would be Y greater than 0 X greater than 0 (On phone in the car, can't put the symbols)

OpenStudy (sawq):

Oh wow didn't know I was that simple

OpenStudy (sawq):

one more thing tho the next part of the question is: Explain how to verify that the points C and F are solutions to the system of inequalities created in Part A. How would I do that?
