Well common sense for #1 is.... (Making this up from the top of my head right now) but...
-You have to become more aware of your strengths and weaknesses to achieve better goals in life....
-Take all the opportunities and chances to achieve your goals in a better way
- Take control of what is needed to change and delete to boost up interaction skills or achieve goals

Yes, people communicate in various ways because whatever they are going through at that point, the individual can reflect it in whatever it is that they are talking about in the conversation.

And last but not least the most important nonverbal ways that people can show determination is...(Gonna name off a few) having a full focus on whatever is being said, appropriate facial expressions, posture, making eye contact and etc..
