OpenStudy (clamin):

PLEASE HELP!! Max interviews all of the students of his school who took AP tests. He finds that the relationship between the number of AP tests and their GPA is linearly associated with a correlation coefficient of 0.94. What does this value suggest about the relationship between the number of AP tests and GPA? A. GPA decreases as the number of AP tests increases B. The number of AP tests decreases as GPA increases. C. There is no relationship between the number of AP tests and GPA. D. The number of AP tests increases as GPA increases.

OpenStudy (luckyness):

My best guess would go most for D. The number of AP tests increases as GPA increases.

OpenStudy (reemii):

Right. The closer the correlation factor is to 1, the more "GPA increases => AP increases". The closer the correlation factor is to -1, the more "GPA increase => AP decrease".
