Which type of water is the most dense? A. warm, salty water B. warm water with no salt C. cold water with low salt content D. cold water with high salt content

OpenStudy (ilovebmth1234):

hmmm im gonna go with D but im not 100% sure cause dense means closely compacted in substance. so its defiantly not B or C cause you need salt so out of A and D the colder water wouldn't break down the salt and dissolve it like the warm water does id go with D but then again A could be it >.< @Killer_Shadow can you take a look at this and see what you think?

OpenStudy (iwik):

^ i agree with D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok then whats this one? Describe the water that is most likely to sink to the bottom of the ocean. A. warm, salty water B. warm water with no salt C. cold, salty water D. cold water with no salt

OpenStudy (iwik):

i think C cause it would be the most heavy

OpenStudy (ilovebmth1234):

C right!

OpenStudy (killer_shadow):

im pretty sure its B

OpenStudy (ilovebmth1234):

why B?

OpenStudy (iwik):

how so?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i thought C a lil bit

OpenStudy (iwik):

when you go deep diving the water gets colder the lower you go

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just like heat rises?

OpenStudy (iwik):

yup cause heat is less dense

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i get it now

OpenStudy (anonymous):
