FAN & MEDAL!!!! Is the probability of hitting the black circle inside the target closer to 0 or 1? Is the probability of hitting the white portion of the target closer to 0 or 1? Attachment below
@Cuanchi @rishavraj
calculate both areas and divided one over the other and you will find out
So the circle is 3.14 and the square is 121 so do I do 121/3.14?
121 is the total area, the white area it is the difference between the total and the black circle then white/total = ??? white probability black/total= ??? black probability
White is the total (121) 11x11=121 so 1? And the black (circle?) is 3.14/121= 0.259
no white is the total- the black= 121-3.14=117.86
Well you said the total is 121 and white is 121 too
NO DEAR!!! where is black there is not white!!!
TOTAL= Black + White
I don't get it. I found the area of the square by doing 11x11=121 and the circles is pi x radius squared = 3.14 so....
yes the area of the square is correct 121, but not all the square is white, there is a circle inside the square that is black, then the white area is not equal to the total area of the square, becase the black area can not be consider white area
