The main goal is to learn from others success and mistakes, so that we don't make the same mistakes.
Since this question is talking about studying, I would say A. If it was studying in groups one could argue B but in this case, though I'm not completely sure what your teacher wants, I would say A. This would have to be up to your discernment as you are the one studying. Every teacher is different.
