Whats The Solution To This Problem? (8.9x10^0)+(5.9x10^0)

OpenStudy (maddy1251):

Remember the rule when you put a number 'n' to the power of "0" . Let's try 1, for example. When 1 is raised to the power of "0", it automatically yields "1". Same goes for 10 in this instance. So that "10^0" becomes 1. Try solving now. (8.9x10^0)+(5.9x10^0) then becomes.. (8.9 x 1) + (5.9 x 1)
