OpenStudy (j3nny0rtiz):

If m∠4 = (3x)° and m∠8 = (x + 40)°, what is the measure of ∠4? ∠4 and ∠8 are vertical. A. 20˚ B. 60˚ C. 40˚ D. 120˚ please help!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if the angles are equal that means \[3x=x+40\]solve for \(x\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when you find \(x\) multiply it by \(4\) to get your answer, or add \(40\) to it, the answers must be the same

OpenStudy (maddy1251):

Satellite has it!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did you solve \[3x=x+40\]yet?

OpenStudy (maddy1251):

@satellite73 Couldn't they look at it such as ; \[3x = 1x + 40\]

OpenStudy (maddy1251):

If so that may help them solve it.

OpenStudy (maddy1251):

Or make it simple. :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, the invisible 1 i hear so much about

OpenStudy (maddy1251):

Satellite it makes it soo much easier. :-)

OpenStudy (j3nny0rtiz):

thank you :)
