@hectoroftroy except for the fact that the HeLa cell line is not that old, kinda making it irrelevant for this assignment? I rather suggest you look at what makes a cell what it is. What makes a cell so special from what was before it? For litterature I can recommend this chapter, it is fairly simple, but could maybe inspire you. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK9841/
