OpenStudy (liz_beauty45):

Which sentence is punctuated correctly? A. The tools we need to use are: a hammer, a screwdriver, and a saw. B. We need to use these tools a hammer, a screwdriver, and a saw. C. We need to use these tools: a hammer, a screwdriver, and a saw. D. A hammer, a screwdriver, and a saw: are the tools we need to use.

Atsie (atsie):

Alright, firstly if you had to guess, which one would you pick?

OpenStudy (liz_beauty45):

ummm well i think B is out

Atsie (atsie):

Yes, I definitely agree. I mean if we read that one out loud, it kind of leaves you scratching your head. Punctuation has a lot to do with how reading a simple sentence sounds, and punctuation for B is lousy. If we had to eliminate another one, it would be D right? Its abnormal.

OpenStudy (liz_beauty45):

Idk you tell me :D

OpenStudy (liz_beauty45):

Lol so D and B is out Now A and C is left

Atsie (atsie):

Correct, and which do you think you'd pick out of A and C?

OpenStudy (liz_beauty45):

A

Atsie (atsie):

Yep! :)

OpenStudy (liz_beauty45):

Great!!! thanks

Atsie (atsie):

Good job!! :)

OpenStudy (liz_beauty45):

theres ur medal!

Atsie (atsie):
