You can either plug in each of the options into the equation and see which ones fit, or you can try to solve the equation.
HOW DO U PLUG IT INTO THE EQUATION
ok take the first option 7/5 replacing the x by 7/5 we have 25 * (7/5)^2 - 50(7/5) + 21 work that out using your calculator and see if it comes to 0 If it does you've found the correct option.
i got 0
but are you familiar with the process of solving these equataions?
i think i do now
its the same for the other ones too?
yea 7/5 is one solution.
i tried B and also got 0
you can do same with the others yes. When i mean solving I'm talking about factoring the equation or using the quadratic formula.
no i do not
are A and B the only options
cuz those are the only 2 i got
OK well you have finished. These quadratic equations ( where you have x^2 as highest degree) have 2 roots
luckily the first 2 were the correct roots.
are those the only 2?
yes
all the other ones were not 0
i just want to check
tyvm
you neednt check the rest cos you have found the roots already.
yw
it factors to (5x - 3)(5x - 7) = 0 so x = 3/5 , 7/5
Check all that apply. x2 + 14x + 40 = 0 A. -5 B. -10 C. 10 D. 5 E. 4 F. -4
so x is the opions and i see which one is 0
i didnt get 0 for any of them
im stuck on this one
