Hey you should look at my medals history. I keep getting medal spammed every now and then. This happens mostly from ppl who find your answer amazing that they go to your answered questions and medal everything till they get bored. To me, this is not a serious problem as this can be corrected easily when our busy admins find some time. Do you ppl really think it is decent to make a big issue publicly on a petty thing like this ?

I almost got a suspension from jiggly puff for giving a user a few medals to get a they're first title. but these people were literally medal spamming the WHOLE duration of their time on os. like... wth??

yeah something like that probably works... but it is upto the admins to decide on when to fix this issue. they know better on how to deal with these as they have all the power. Its not hard to detect spam medals by putting a monitor like : If an user gets more than 50 medals from another user in less than 1 hour, undo all the medals from this user.

Maybe you been stuck cause u don't answer like 50 questions a day ;~; Rebecca asked a lot of questions in history and earth sciences, also I have no clue who some of those people are, also keep in mind, in history, majority of questions are asked by the same people and in succession, nobody has just one question, it is always a series of questions and I answer them all, if I had been truly medal spammed without answering questions at the same time, do u think my ratio of questions answered to medals received would be slightly worse? Like maybe samsungs, as gane said sometimes people medal spam someone, can't do anything about it, Rebecca and adry may have given me around 50-75 unearned medals, but does that really make a difference? And why is it medal spam if I actually answered the question well? Is it not their choice to medal me

I received a tip about 5 days ago about @ILovePuppiesLol in regards to a possible medal 'party' situation. I did indeed notice that ILovePuppiesLol did give and receive many medals from rebecca.

One of the main reasons medal parties are looked down upon is because of artificial inflation / unearned medals (medals from direct answers or invalid answers or invalid/rigged questions).

When looking at the questions which rebecca and puppies were medaled on, I took into consideration that puppies gave good valid help and rebecca did participate in the learning process. The medals were valid on both ends and therefore I did not consider puppies' situation to be a 'medal party'.

Thank you all for your concerns, but please try DMing a moderator next time rather than publicly shunning someone ^_^"

We are not being hypocrites. I get more medals from a single tutorial that I make then from 20 posts i answer. That;s how I have more medals then questions answered. I do accept we should have talked about this to a Moderator through pm. I will take the blame for that. If you get medal spammed, you immediately tell a Moderator. Its a simple as that. If a person was cussing, you would let them cuss at you and not do anything. You would tell a Mod and they'll fix the problem. Same thing with medal spamming. You can post as much question as you want, but there is a huge difference. You can just give 50 medals to a person and say that they're helping you. Even if there explanation is long and good. If this was valid, I would medal spam every person I would look in there profile.

It really depends on what was being 'medaled' on the posts. It can easily be said that medals given to spam comments or non-helpful comments on a post would be considered medal spamming. On the other hand, however, if medals are given to helpful comments guiding users to the answer, it is quite hard to say that this was a medal party. Again, if they were helpful comments which guided the user to the answer, these comments deserved the medals. Quite a controversial topic at hand.
