OpenStudy (marcoreus11):

The "Hopewell" tradition (also incorrectly called the "Hopewell culture") is the term used to describe common aspects of the Native American culture. The Hopewell tradition was not a single culture or society, but a widely dispersed set of related populations. The "Hopi" is a native American people that live on a reservation in northeastern Arizona and has a population of 6,946 people according to 2000 census and still build their homes of adobe. Meanwhile, the "Anasazi" also lived in the Southwest Desert of America but favored to build their shelters and building sites in the overhangs of limestone cliffs. The "Inuit" live in the northern part of North America (Arctic, North West Territories of Canada and Baffin and Ellesmere Island. They used animal skins for accommodations in the summer and cut snow and ice blocks in the winter to build small homes called "Igloos". Currently, they use collapsible tents when hunting but also have regular wood constructed homes for their permanent residences. The "Sioux" reside in the extreme east of the Dakotas, Minnesota, and northern Iowa, and are often referred to as the Santee. Adobe, ( a mixture of sand, clay, and water, with some kind of fibrous or organic material (sticks, straw, dung). would have made inappropriate living conditions in the northern climate of the United States. Therefore the correct answer would be "Hopi" or as you asked "Number 2, Hopewell".
